All our current products are free any substances that cause allergies, either as ingredients or by possibility of cross-contamination (Directive 2007/68/EC). However, the following products may contain allergens:
Cereal Grasses (Wheat & Barley) - Wheat and barley grasses are free of allergens as ingredients. However, there is a remote possibility of cross contamination by gluten if the farmer allows wheat and barley to begin developing seeds. Our farmers monitor the growth of the leaves to eliminate this risk, hence we consider our products gluten free.

Many customers take more than one Green Origins product together - for example, they may mix a fruit powder and chia seeds into a smoothie. There is nothing to suggest that they cannot be taken together, but we always recommend that customers carry out their own research on individual products they are looking to consume together and any potential interactions between them.

We advise customers who are pregnant, breastfeeding, currently on any medication, or under medical supervision to check with their General Practitioner as a precaution before taking any of our products.

Within the Green Origins range there are a number of products that support the immune system. Let’s start with two of our blends that can be added to smoothies, drinks or breakfast;

Super Green Blend – The super green blend is a mix of chlorella and spirulina, types of algae, and wheatgrass and barley grass. Together these ingredients can support the immune system by flooding the body with antioxidants, improving gut health and increasing the body’s antibodies to ensure we are stronger to fight infections. The product is high in fibre and contains a mix of vitamins and minerals to support our body’s.

Super Mushroom Blend – With 7 of the most researched and well know mushrooms together in a blend, these have extensive studies individually to highlight how they can benefit the immune system, as well as a host of other health benefits such as reducing stress levels, improving energy levels and helping with cognitive function. This product is very high in fibre which supports a strong gut biome.

Green Origins have a range of single superfood ingredients with several which can be used to give your immunity a boost, these are:

Turmeric powder – long been associated with having anti-inflammatory properties and helping to fight off infections. The active ingredient, curcumin has been researched in its affects on inflammation and immunity, with results showing curcumin appears to down-regulate pro-inflammatory compounds called cytokines, its these that over time lead to the damage associated with inflammation. When consumed at low doses, curcumin may enhance our antibody responses, helping us fight off infection.

Acai berry powder – Acai berries are very high in antioxidants and vitamin C so are a stand alone immunity boosting ingredient

Spirulina powder – high in antioxidants and a range of vitamins, minerals and protein to support a healthy body and mind

Baobab powder – very high in vitamin C and high in antioxidants which are believed to have antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-oxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Chlorella powder – mix of vitamins and minerals as well as protein to support a healthy immune system

Acerola powder – very high in vitamin C, this is a powerhouse ingredient to supporting the immune system, contains a range of b vitamins as well to fight fatigue and provide an energy boost.
As always, we recommend using our products as part of a balanced diet along with plenty of fresh fruit & vegetables, grains and wholefoods.

Protein is the building blocks for cellular repair, including muscles. Animal based protein products contain the right blend of amino acids to ensure this can occur. With vegan protein blends, it is important to ensure the right blend of amino acids are present to provide the full complement of amino acids to help this repair.
At Green Origins our plant protein blends contain pea and rice protein, when combined provides the full complement of amino acids, as an animal blend, enabling the body to recover and repair just the same as a whey or casein protein powder

There are a number of products Green Origins do which will give you longer lasting energy without a caffeine spike. The mushroom blend is an excellent example, with the blend of mushrooms providing a range of b vitamins which are well renowned for converting food into energy without any spike.

The range of superboost blends contain highly fibrous ingredients as well as carbohydrates and b vitamins to ensure a steady stream of energy to last without providing the initial spike then drop in energy levels.

Matcha powder is another that can provide a smooth energy. Matcha contains caffeine but also has l theanine which smooths out the effects of caffeine so you will not have the jittery energy boost of a coffee or energy drink.
